Upon ordination in September 2001, Deacon Terry was assigned to St Margaret Mary. He retired from his career work in 1999, as director of treasury operations for an international chemical company, to devote more time to ministry. Utilizing his clinical pastoral education, Deacon Terry formed a Bereavement Ministry at the parish to accompany persons and families in their journey of grief. He also assists in the parish adult education program, leads the liturgy development team, liturgy facilitators, and the Sunday reflections ministry. Deacon Terry is a mentor in the Diocesan New Wine Program and is on the Board of the Diocesan Deaconate Community.
While involved in a number of ministries, he
particularly enjoys sacramental preparation and officiating at weddings.
Helping a couple prepare for their marriage and a life together, and then
being the Church's witness to their vows, is such an awesome privilege.
Their love is a reflection of how much God loves each of us and His Church.
