Be Christ by Donating Food Baskets to Local Families in Need!
Our parish is collecting Christmas food baskets which will be given to local social service agencies that will be distributed to low-income families and individuals/Veterans in our area.
ITEMS TO INCLUDE: Fresh or canned hams (6-10 lbs for a family of 6; 3-5 lbs for an individual); rice, beans, gravy packets or jars; fresh citrus fruits and vegetables; potatoes, carrots, beans; canned peas, green beans, corn, (check expiration dates); dinner rolls or cornbread; store bought cakes, pies or cookies. Feel free to include additional store-bought items. No alcohol please.
Place items in a container (ie; box, laundry basket, etc.) and bring it to SMMP between 9am and 11am on Wednesday, December 6. Pull through the circle in the front of the church on Green Trails Drive and a volunteer will remove your donation. Please be sure to give them your name. If you are not able to drop off your basket the morning of Wednesday, December 6, please indicate this when you sign up.
Thank you for making a difference to those in need this Christmas!
