Our Christmas Giving Tree Program Is Going Virtual

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Christmas Giving Tree will be done virtually. The need is even more urgent this year because of the economic impact of the pandemic — especially on low-wage “essential” workers. Instead of asking parishioners to shop for gifts for low-income families at St. Nicholas and Sacred Heart Parishes in Aurora, we are asking folks to participate in these ways:

Ways You Can Give

Purchase Gift Cards

Walmart and Target gift cards ($30—$50) are best because they can be used for food or gifts. Amazon gift cards would also be welcome. There is a drop box in the parish office (M-F 9am-5pm). You can also mail your gifts cards to: St. Margaret Mary Giving Tree, 1450 Green Trails Dr., Naperville, IL 60540 or drop them off in the collection basket at weekend Masses in marked envelope.

Make a Cash Donation

  • You can make a cash donation that will be used to purchase gift cards. Click here to donate .
  • You can also send checks made out to St. Margaret Mary Parish to: St. Margaret Mary Giving Tree, 1450 Green Trails Dr., Naperville, IL 60540

Make Handmade Christmas Cards

In order to add a personal touch to our giving, you are invited to make handmade Christmas Cards that we can include with our gift cards. A collection box for handmade cards is outside of the parish office door. Here are some greetings in Spanish that you can use:
  • Merry Christmas!
    ¡Feliz Navidad!
  • May God bless you and your family.
Que Dios los bendiga a usted y a toda su familia.
  • From our family to yours.
Para su familia de parte de la nuestra.
  • With our wishes for a Merry Christmas
Con nuestros deseos para una feliz navidad.
  • A happy Christmas season!
    ¡Felices pascuas navideñas!

Deadline for donations is December 4th.
