Commissions and Committees

To assist in carrying out our parish vision & mission St. Margaret Mary has a Pastoral Council and the following Parish Commissions: Administration, Christian Service, and Christian Worship. Each Commission is comprised of various committees composed of parishioners who gather to attend to specific needs in the parish.

The Administration Committee exists to support the mission of St. Margaret Mary Parish by advising and assisting the Pastor, Director of Finance & Administration, and Facilities Manager and providing an assessment of and guidance on the following: 

  • The state of the facilities (church, offices, meeting spaces, rectory, parking & grounds) and areas for improvement

  • Preventative maintenance planning

  • Brainstorming and researching solutions to noted issues

  • Capital project and long-term planning

  • Proposals and bids for large-scale projects

  • Preferred vendors and contacts

  • Additional initiatives as directed by the Pastor

The Administration Committee is responsible for implementing these initiatives to support St. Margaret Mary Parish’s long-term campus and facility health. You may contact them at [email protected]

The responsibilities of the Finance Committee are summarized as follows:

  • Assist with policy and monitors the financial affairs of the Parish.
  • Assist with budget development, expenditure recommendations and internal auditing.
  • Provide the Pastor, Administration Commission, and Pastoral Council with periodic reports in addition to reviewing the parish annual report. You may contact them at [email protected]

The Stewardship Committee exists to support the mission of St. Margaret Mary Parish by advising and assisting the Pastor and providing an assessment of and guidance on the following: 

  • Developing and issuing fundraising communications 

  • Charitable giving outreach and guidance to parishioners

  • Producing creative ways to engage donors and encourage giving

  • Promoting various giving options, such as RMDs and testamentary giving

  • Educating parishioners on the importance of charitable planning and giving

  • Additional initiatives as directed by the Pastor

The Stewardship Committee is responsible for implementing these initiatives to support St. Margaret Mary Parish’s financial plans and ensure the parish’s financial health.

The Christian Service Commission (CSC) is a combination of many committees whose responsibility it is to provide opportunities to serve God and those in need. The CSC contributes coordination, planning, assessing needs, and aids in establishing various kinds of ministry efforts in the parish. Likewise, the commission can serve as a link with the various agencies of the Diocese involved in various aspects of social ministry which includes Catholic Charities, Social Concerns, and family ministry. The Christian Worship Commission assists with the coordination and smooth operation of the Liturgy at St. Margaret Mary. The commission is made up of the coordinators of the liturgical ministries and the pastor. The CWC especially tends to the principal liturgical seasons, including Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter.
